FIFA World Cup campaigns 2022 kick-off as the sporting event is right around the corner.

FIFA World Cup is one of the most-watched sporting events globally. According to the official broadcast coverage of the FIFA World Cup, the viewership was around 3.572 billion viewers pre-pandemic. The viewership is expected to grow in 2022. Therefore, in an effort to engage fans and maintain a global presence, brands are seizing the chance and launching FIFA World Cup campaigns 2022.

FIFA World Cup has a track record of creating some of the most awarded and effective campaigns, over the years. Indian brands too are now following suite, as Football viewership in India increases.

There was a visible spike in the number of Indian sponsors this year. The global sport has seen Indian partners such as Viacom18’s Sports18, JioCinema, Mahindra, Visa, Cake Zone, Black & White, AM/NS India, ET Money, Amul, Infosys, SBI, and Spartan Poker. BYJU’s is the official sponsor this year. 

Budweiser, which has been associated with the FIFA World Cup for over 35 years and has enabled the brand to unlock several occasions and touchpoints, and connect with the ever-growing base of football fans and consumers across the world. 

Vineet Sharma, Vice President, Marketing – South Asia, AB InBev said, “Our long-standing association with FIFA gives us the unique opportunity to build a meaningful, lasting connection with football fans in India, one of the largest football viewing nations in the world.”

Further, Amul announced that it is the regional sponsor of Argentina’s football team for the FIFA World Cup, Hyundai has released a song with the K-Pop group – BTS, and Viacom 18 Sports launched its first-ever campaign.
